CHUNGJU WORLD MARTIAL ARTS FESTIVAL

  Today i will introduce a few unfamiliar festival .

 Have you ever heard Chungju World Martial Arts Festival?

Actually i did not know this festival before. But collecting information about this festival, i found very interesting things!  UNESCO only to official patronage in the world Chungju World Martial Arts Festival. This is very meaningful. Because our festival achieves recognition the importance of protecting martial arts as a key.

  Chungju World Martial Arts Festival has been held since 1998.

This festival showcases all of the world’s martial arts forms, as well as Korea’s traditional martial arts. This festival opens with the theme 'World's Martial Arts and Culture', showcasing demonstrations of Taekkyeon, Taekwondo, and Hapkido by Korea’s traditional martial arts groups. Martial artists from 37 countries and 45 martial arts organizations in the world have been invited to the festival, and will be taking part in demonstrations and performances. Programs have been prepared for non-Korean speakers and visitors will get a chance to try out many of the martial arts on display.

In major events of this festival takkyeon mass game, bodyguard martial arts of military ect.

  Including watching a lot of showcases, there are many magnificent spectacles. many famous celebrities attend this festival to congratulate open it. Last year Infinite and A-Pink came and sang a song

and you can learn various martial arts, a self-defense martial art, african traditional martial arts ect.

 

   The food, the World Food, fast food restaurants and stores of local will operate. The food accommodation shopping, folk art department regional specialty products department, the world traditional hand-made products department also opened. Based on experience in the tourist experience participation program, martial arts experience, blacksmith relapse, face painting is performed

  After enjoying this festival i recommend other great tourist attractions, Chungjuho Lake.

Chungjuho Lake is a multi-purpose lake made by a river dam. This large lake is very clean and well-preserved. If you go there, you may fell in love that place! i really really recommend ! : )

 

Boryeng Mud Festival

                                                                              

  Do you know Boryeng Mud Festival? This is worldwide festival. including local residents many foreigners also participate and enjoy this! But many people don't know where boryeong is.

where is Boryeong?

  Boryeong is located to west side of our land. Boryeong has a lot of resources and beautiful scenery with mountains and beaches. specially, the western sea the flow of water is weaker and shallower than east sea's , mud flat can be developed easily. and there is one of thermoelectric power stations.

   Boryeong Mud Festival will be held at Daecheon swimming beach, there is a unique shell-powered sandy beach only found in Eastern countries. The beach itself is very beautiful and a great place to go swimming.

In there, you can swim and massage with a mudpack at the same time. Furthermore, there are Mud massage programs (Self massage at the Beach, Ultramodern mud massage) and Mud Experiential Land program using mud powder made through the processing procedure, that is, we gather mud from pure plain and remove all impurities.

  There are many events such as mud wrestling, mud king contest, mud fireworks fantasy and mud sliding. There will also be a photo competition in which past members have come in first place. This is a high profile event. There is a gorgeous beach there as well, which will come in handy as you won’t have any choice but to get muddy. You will be put into a prison until you get some mud on your body. you can also enjoy this festival at night! At night, you can relax or experience some games and watch fireworks with friends at the gorgeous night beach.

Guk Toe Dae Jang Jung for college students!

  This is third time to post my blog! Today i will introduce somewhat special festival. This festival can be participated only by college students! So this can be one of our festivals! Have you ever heard about Guk Toe Dae Jang Jung(국토대장정)? There is no appropriate english name. Guk Toe Dae Jang Jung(국토대장정) means to traverse our country on foot not using any transportation. only walk!

 

  This festival is so popular among college students. But only a few students can do it.

To participate in this, applicants need to be checked up their health.

Because when this festival is starts, participants have to walk 30km per day!! So applicants require to be checked up their health. Also The competition is too high.The competition rate is one out of a hundred!

 

  In spite of these difficulties, Why many people want to participate in?

I think there are 2 major reasons why want to participate in.

  First, want to know how we have strong spirit and test our ability.

Like the preceding, only healthy participants join this festival. one person that had participated this festival said "We could realize how much we had spent our lives in vain. We always had gave up what we wish and complained easily before. Traversing our country on only foot is really hard. But cheering up each others, we learn what cooperation is"

 

  Second, build our career.

In korea it is too difficult to seek for employment. so future job seekers build up their career. They think that special career like this can be a help to have a job. Actually some of interviewers for a job choose job seekers who experienced various things. It's enough to their draw attentions.

 

  Incluing the north face, a Dong A Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd ect, many companies work on this festival.

International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea 2013!

  'International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea' will be held first time in Korea! This has attracted the attention of internal media, including the overseas. This festival will be held in sunchenon, many people wonder why AIHP(International Association of Horticultural Producers) chose suncheon in korea.

why Suncheon have been chosen?

  There are three reasons why Suncheon has been chosen.

  First, Suncheon is relatively close to the south coast, even in winter its weather is mild under the influence of marine climate.

  Second, Suncheon bay is one of the five major world coastal wetlands that are most healthy conservation on the planet. In suncheon bay, there are many various kind of wetland plants and it is known as a region that the most many rare birds(protected internationally) come in this wetland around the world.

 Third, Trying to conserve the suncheon bay ecology.

In order to protect the migratory birds, removed a piece of 282 restaurants, providing a place of rest to make inland wetlands.

 1. Coco de mer, the sexist nuts in the world.

2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Organizing Committee said that known as the "fruit of Eve 'and Adam in rare plant", coco de mer is planned to planted by James Michel President on the 19th. He will enter to attend the opening ceremony of this festival, bring the seed of coco de mer 5 female seeds, 1 male seed. His visiting highlights more of the vistitors.

 

  2. The bridge of dream!

The dream of bridge is designed by Kang Ik Jung, the famous artist. It is made of recycling containers. inside, There are many picture painted by world wide children about 16 million!! The dream of bridge is a museum that is the world's first attempt.
