Guk Toe Dae Jang Jung for college students!

  This is third time to post my blog! Today i will introduce somewhat special festival. This festival can be participated only by college students! So this can be one of our festivals! Have you ever heard about Guk Toe Dae Jang Jung(국토대장정)? There is no appropriate english name. Guk Toe Dae Jang Jung(국토대장정) means to traverse our country on foot not using any transportation. only walk!

 

  This festival is so popular among college students. But only a few students can do it.

To participate in this, applicants need to be checked up their health.

Because when this festival is starts, participants have to walk 30km per day!! So applicants require to be checked up their health. Also The competition is too high.The competition rate is one out of a hundred!

 

  In spite of these difficulties, Why many people want to participate in?

I think there are 2 major reasons why want to participate in.

  First, want to know how we have strong spirit and test our ability.

Like the preceding, only healthy participants join this festival. one person that had participated this festival said "We could realize how much we had spent our lives in vain. We always had gave up what we wish and complained easily before. Traversing our country on only foot is really hard. But cheering up each others, we learn what cooperation is"

 

  Second, build our career.

In korea it is too difficult to seek for employment. so future job seekers build up their career. They think that special career like this can be a help to have a job. Actually some of interviewers for a job choose job seekers who experienced various things. It's enough to their draw attentions.

 

  Incluing the north face, a Dong A Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd ect, many companies work on this festival.

International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea 2013!

  'International Garden Exposition Suncheon Bay Korea' will be held first time in Korea! This has attracted the attention of internal media, including the overseas. This festival will be held in sunchenon, many people wonder why AIHP(International Association of Horticultural Producers) chose suncheon in korea.

why Suncheon have been chosen?

  There are three reasons why Suncheon has been chosen.

  First, Suncheon is relatively close to the south coast, even in winter its weather is mild under the influence of marine climate.

  Second, Suncheon bay is one of the five major world coastal wetlands that are most healthy conservation on the planet. In suncheon bay, there are many various kind of wetland plants and it is known as a region that the most many rare birds(protected internationally) come in this wetland around the world.

 Third, Trying to conserve the suncheon bay ecology.

In order to protect the migratory birds, removed a piece of 282 restaurants, providing a place of rest to make inland wetlands.

  Making a thorough investigation about this festival, i pick out 2 only the good ones!.

 

 1. Coco de mer, the sexist nuts in the world.

2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Organizing Committee said that known as the "fruit of Eve 'and Adam in rare plant", coco de mer is planned to planted by James Michel President on the 19th. He will enter to attend the opening ceremony of this festival, bring the seed of coco de mer 5 female seeds, 1 male seed. His visiting highlights more of the vistitors.

 

  2. The bridge of dream!

The dream of bridge is designed by Kang Ik Jung, the famous artist. It is made of recycling containers. inside, There are many picture painted by world wide children about 16 million!! The dream of bridge is a museum that is the world's first attempt.



Hangang Yeouido Spring Flower Festival

  I wanna posting about festivals in korea.

There are many festivals in korea. about 1000!!

Of them i choose 10 festivals and will post them.

I'm interested in korean festivals because i decided before that if i have boyfriend someday, i will participate in festivals and enjoy it!! :)

  Today i will introduce Hangang Yeouido Spring Flower Festival.

Fabulous cherry blossom festivals alerting the arrival of spring in Seoul. The festival will be held in Yeouido Park and Yeouiseo-ro (back of the National Assembly Building) between the early part and middle of April every year when cherry blossom comes to full bloom During the festival, feast of spring will be unfold in Yeouido against the wide open Han River, as 13 types of 87,859 spring flowers come into full moon, such as the azalea, forsythias, royal azaleas, bridal wreaths, and deutzia, including 1,641 trees of Prunus yedoensis, which is originally from Jeju Island. Starting with the spring flower festival parade performed by professional parade troupes and citizens, various culture and arts combined performance and participation events will be present all over the streets. In the night, special landscape lighting will shine the cherry blossom creating beautiful spring night romances.

  This year, this festival will be held April 13th - 17th
